Luis Mellado works across several key HR areas at Nua, including Compensation, Benefits, and HR Operations. Before joining Nua, Luis held roles at Uber, Unilever, and Microsoft, where he supported large, complex workforces and worked closely on benefits administration, compliance, and HR process improvement.

At Nua Group, Luis partners with clients to refine their people strategies, ensuring programs are competitive, compliant, and operationally sound. He focuses on helping organizations navigate the complexities of total rewards and HR operations, from managing compliance requirements and optimizing benefits structures to building processes that can scale as the business grows.

Whether he’s fine-tuning a compensation model or streamlining an HR process, he enjoys building solutions that balance business objectives with a strong employee experience. Clients value his ability to see the big picture, bridging compensation, benefits, and operations to support more informed, strategic workforce decisions.

Originally from Mexico City and now based in San Francisco, Luis spends his time outside of work playing Magic: The Gathering, exploring local breweries, and going salsa dancing. When he’s at home, he’s usually working on a smart home project or spending time with his cats, Asu and Buzz.
