Happy 2nd Nuaversary to Erin Richards!

Erin Richards is celebrating two years at Nua Group, and we've caught up with her for a special featured interview. Erin has shared her thoughts on her time with us, offering insights into her journey, achievements, and the impact she's made. Here's a look at Erin's experiences and contributions to Nua Group.

Thinking back to your time at Nua – what's one accomplishment, big or small, that fills you with pride?

Erin: One thing that stands out is my transition from internal HR to consulting work. Moving from a supportive role within an organization to being an external advisor has not only changed the way I approach my work but also how my days are structured. It’s been really satisfying to help our clients navigate their HR challenges, whether it’s streamlining processes or fine-tuning technology to optimize their operations!

What exciting project or initiative are you eager to tackle at Nua in the months and years to come?

Erin: One thing I’m looking forward to is collaborating more closely with my colleagues to bridge the gap between compensation structure creation and system implementation. In the world of HR systems, compensation serves as the foundation of many key processes. It’s crucial for us to not only design innovative job and compensation architecture, but also to consider their unique system needs, constraints, and requirements.

What’s one surprising thing that your colleagues and clients might not know about you?

Erin: Like many, I have a soft spot for my houseplants. My latest project is an indoor lemon tree - it’s been a labor of love, hand-pollinating the flowers since the bees can’t do the job. I'm currently waiting for the first 4 fruits to turn yellow!

If you could leave a message for your future self in a Nua time capsule, what would you say?

Erin: Stay curious, embrace challenges, and remember: sometimes a discussion is better than a PowerPoint! Don’t forget to laugh along the way - our inside jokes are the best reminders to keep things in perspective.
